As more and more home owners remodel their bathrooms and convert them into the perfect private retreat, new tubs are being developed by designers and manufacturers to meet new requirements and specifications, presented by their clients.

Contemporary tubs are an attempt to create tubs, similar to the roll- top vintage tubs of the 1900's. To capture that style, manufacturers create contemporary freestanding and legged models, offering state of the art design and simple maintenance.

Like any other tubs, contemporary tubs are made of cast iron, porcelain, steel, and solid surface. Due to the freestanding design of these tubs, pipes are usually exposed and are easy to service.

Freestanding Tubs

Freestanding tubs are tubs that appear to be placed directly on the floor, with no supporting woodwork. They look like the classic pedestal tubs but without the pedestal. These types of tubs integrate straight lines with new ergonomic innovation for mazimum comfort.
